The Stylists

When it comes to hair cuts and styling (from blow-combs to up-dos, and a whole lot in between), no matter how long or short your hair may be, we’ve got just the right person for you.

And all of our stylists are extremely talented when it comes to coloring hair – for both women and men; you’re in great hands here. But what we really excel at is the long-lost art of customer service.

Gentlemen – this is not your mother’s salon. All of our stylists (and the ladies in particular) do excellent work with men’s hair. We have a lot of gentlemen (both young and old) who come in well-dressed and looking great – and they leave looking even better.

JESSICA SIEBELS

Avant-garde while accessible, edgy but wearable, Jessica excels at delivering irreplicable looks. She soaks up inspiration through careful observation of street style, although nothing she does can be traced back to a singular look. By melding bits and pieces of different styles together, Jessica excels at creating a unique look her client can call her (or his) own. Jessica was trained at the Aveda Institute in Minneapolis and has more than a decade of experience. She considers short women’s cuts a personal specialty that allows her to be the most creative, proving that you can do a lot more with less.

JAIMIE LEE STEVENSON

A versatile stylist with more than a decade of experience, Jaimie is as fearless as she is flexible. She works closely with clients to create hairstyles that perfectly suit their preferences, face shapes, and desired maintenance levels. But her superpower? Hair-related problem-solving: Easing clients through the grow-out process, correcting a color job gone wrong, or creating custom extensions. She’s adept with both long layers and short, edgy cuts. Jaimie is a wizard with color, specializing in balayage looks ranging from dramatic two-tone ombré to subtle sun-kissed highlights. She offers wedding and special event styling services, everything from classic bridal chignons to loose waves with flower crowns. Jaimie adores helping brides look radiant for their big days, and also offers makeup services. She studied at the Aveda Institute, went on to graduate from the Westmore Academy of Cosmetic Arts, and has styled for print, commercial, editorial, and live fashion shows. Want a stylist who’ll listen to your needs and make your hair goals a reality? Jaimie is your girl.

IVO MASLEV

Ivo comes to TC2 from the Denny Kemp Salon in Northeast Minneapolis, where he has been practicing since 2008. Before that Ivo worked as a stylist in Sofia, Bulgaria, where he was educated, and Miami, Florida. With more than 20 years of experience, Ivo feels that he has learned from the best. Clients become friends thanks to Ivo’s genuine interest in and understanding of each of their lifestyles. He approaches his work with the same passion and dedication that he displays on the golf course. Golf, a sport which necessitates an innate precision, serves as an inspiration for his work and a way for him to refine his creative process. Ivo is especially gifted with long, layered and textured hair. Curious about where his clients’ loyalty stems from? Let him blow your hair out, and you’ll see.

SARA VANDER PLOEG

Curls may have recently been declared as “back in style,” but advanced DevaCurl stylist Sara Vander Ploeg knew they were never out. Sara comes to TC2 via the 42nd Street Salon, where she spent five years perfecting her curly craft. After studying at the James International College in Iowa City, Sara went on to finish her training in Italy, where she was able to soak up the aesthetics of the city, as well as take in weekly fashion shows. Her penchant for runway-worthy hair and makeup led her to LA, where she was trained in hair and makeup for TV. She finds joy in the challenge of adapting Hollywood looks for the wearable, everyday. Her passion is curly hair, and the DevaChan salon retrains her each year. For a stylist that is intent on embracing her clients’ natural beauty, look no further.

TAYLER CAMAS

Growing up on a farm in Wheatland, North Dakota, Tayler Camas knew what she was destined for. At the age of five, she was already an in-demand stylist for her friends and family. As one of five siblings, Tayler used her skills to barter — hair and make-up glamour sessions in exchange for chores. Immediately after finishing high school in 2009, Tayler moved to Minneapolis, the “big city,” to attend the Aveda Institute. She arrived not knowing anyone, but her inherent passion and desire to learn kept her moving forward. “I’ve always loved hair and fashion, and I wanted to be in a city to do that.” Today, she maintains a dedicated client base, proving that making the move to follow her dream was worth the risk. “This industry is always changing, and I embrace change. I’m always go, go, go and I like to keep up with it.” She gets excited about special event hair, which she excels at thanks for her patience and constant striving for perfection.

JASON STILLER

As a second-generation hair stylist, Jason Stiller grew up in the industry. His father owned a salon in Fargo, North Dakota, which is where Jason got his first job out of cosmetology school. After moving to Minneapolis to continue cultivating his craft in a bigger city, he proceeded to work at three different Avant salons throughout the city. Then, after operating independently at D Richards Salon for seven years, Jason became co-owner of Tres Jolie Salon in Uptown Minneapolis. Though he continued working with his clients throughout that time, nine years spent managing made him even more passionate about what keeps him in the industry — the chance to keep learning and perfecting new services while creating a meaningful and fulfilling salon experience for his clients. By starting this new chapter at TC2, Jason has the chance to expand the scope of his offerings (more hair extensions) while maintaining the level of quality his clients have come to expect from each of his services. By seeking inspiration through nature and his surroundings, his work enhances each of his clients overall look beautifully.

I love men’s cuts and short cuts, edgy or classic the most. I believe that a thorough consultation is the key to a satisfied client. I am excited to meet you.

-Jason

THOMAS LEVASSEUR

Enhancing your natural, inherent physical beauty is an integral part of mind-body connection. This is just one of the holistic philosophies that guides Thomas’ professional approach to hair styling. After leading the front of house at Brian Graham Salon, Thomas felt inspired to get into the business at a more hands-on level. He attended the Star Beauty College in Texas before moving back to Minnesota, where he’s from. He comes to TC2 after four years at the Hair District. In a skills-based trade, Thomas emphasizes the relational aspect of it, as well. With a big family that anchors Minnesota as his true home, he travels to work at a salon in Florida on a regular basis as a way to pacify his need for travel. He’s lively, fun, and eager to bring out your natural beauty. “Everyone has it!”
